MME’s Birmingham, Alabama facility is accredited to ISO 17025 by A2LA and provides a wide variety of metallurgical services, failure analysis capabilities, as well as automotive materials testing, research and consultation.

The facility is the result of the acquisition of Southern Research Automotive, an automotive materials testing laboratory that catered to the rapidly-growing automotive industry in Southeastern U.S. for several years.

Our resources include state-of-the-art equipment, combined with over 40 years of metallurgical testing and failure analysis experience. Our laboratory can handle many materials commonly utilized by the automotive, aerospace and power generation industries, such as cast iron, carbon/stainless steels, high-temperature alloys and aluminum alloys.
